Isaiah Seret

Isaiah Seret’s work projects emotional storytelling, compelling characters, and cinematic visuals that immerse viewers in new spaces and ideas. Born in Afghanistan to expat parents, raised in the U.S., and with extensive travels across Asia while earning a master’s degree in Asian comparative studies, he has globetrotting experience and a uniquely humane view of the world, its inhabitants, and the stories they carry. Isaiah directed the stunning, ambitious launch campaign for “UNSC Archives,” providing backstory for Xbox’s highly anticipated game Halo Infinite. Comprised of three cinematic short films, each installment gives more depth to the events and mythologies of the Halo universe and uncovers a new human side to the dystopian sci-fi world. He has also directed campaigns for global brands including Nike, Samsung, Dell, and a Super Bowl spot for Saint Archer Gold. His recent campaigns for American Express took him around the world, shooting in Thailand, Greece, England, and Spain to capture all the ways Amex cards allow cardmembers to experience dining, sporting events, and travel on another level. Additionally, Isaiah has directed numerous award-winning music videos for artists such as alt-J, MGMT, Norah Jones, Cults, and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes. He received his first DGA nomination in 2018 and has also earned accolades from the Webbys and D&AD, among others. Isaiah’s work has been featured at the Los Angeles Film Festival and Art Basel Miami, in addition to NPR, MTV, The New York Times, Vice, Nowness, and more. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two children and is currently in development on his first feature film.
