Noam Murro

Two-time DGA Director of the Year Noam Murro directs commercials that are often humorous and organically ironic, never feeling forced or manufactured. In 2000 he formed Biscuit Filmworks, a commercial production company highly regarded for its smart, sophisticated work. As a nod to his range and depth, in recent years Noam was named one of the 50 most influential people of the last 20 years by Ad Age and was named the U.K.’s #1 director by Campaign. Some of Noam’s most notable career highlights include directing Saturn’s “Sheet Metal” which Ad Age hailed as the “big idea of the year,” and multi-award-winning campaigns for Got Milk?, Olympus, Volkswagen, Comcast, HBO, DirecTV, Heineken, Moneysupermarket, Macy’s, and many more. He won his first DGA Award in 2005, made his feature film debut with the critically acclaimed Smart People in 2008, and earned his second DGA Award in 2011. Noam’s second feature film, 300: Rise of an Empire, premiered in 2014 and became an instant box office hit, opening at #1 and going on to gross over $330 million worldwide. In 2015 Noam was invited to participate in the 25th anniversary of the Saatchi New Director Showcase at Cannes, creating the 60-second short film “Night Shift.” That year he was also shortlisted for Director of the Year by Shots Magazine. In 2018, Noam added episodic television to his extensive resumé, directing the miniseries adaptation of Watership Down, a co-production of the BBC and Netflix which premiered to critical acclaim. The four-episode animated series starred James McAvoy, Ben Kingsley, Nicholas Hoult, John Boyega, Gemma Arterton, Olivia Colman, Daniel Kaluuya, and others. Noam has also recently directed iconic spots for Jameson, Guinness, Starbucks, Bud Light, Halo, Subaru, ChildFund, Salesforce, Coors Light, Mercedes, and Kia. Throughout his career, Noam’s work has been recognized by Cannes Lions, AICP, D&AD, The One Show, and many more.
