Dan DiFelice
Dan DiFelice is a thoughtful director with a background in visual effects and a resourceful drive. His elegant character-driven narratives combine heartfelt substance with confident visuals honed from his years working in post and VFX.
Ambitious and creative, Dan began his artistic career by freelancing as a self-taught photographer and visual effects artist in college. After graduation, he worked with several leading post facilities before transitioning to the director’s chair, determined to shape more of the story. He gained notice with his independent short film projects “Finished;” “The Great Unknown;” “Anomaly” (co-directed with Salomon Ligthelm), which was named a Vimeo Staff Pick; and “Carved in Mayhem,” which was selected for the Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors Showcase at Cannes. Since then he has also established himself as an original voice in advertising, crafting award-winning commercial work for global brands including Volvo, Nike, Guardian Insurance, Sony Playstation, Sky Q, and Ubisoft. Additional work includes “Life Is A Work In Progress” for Audi, starring Jorga Smith; spots for the Amazon Prime Video show “Wheel of Time: Origins;” and a cinematic film for Renault that premiered at the Bourget Air Show to announce their new car model, the Rafale. Recently, Dan helmed a film for global organization the Valuable 500, aimed at encouraging the business community to accelerate its work to end disability exclusion and hold themselves accountable.
Dan is based in New York with his wife and two sons. He is represented by Biscuit Filmworks in the U.S. and U.K.
