Angelo Cerisara
Born in Italy and based in London, Angelo is a cinephile whose passion for the craft is evidenced in his dynamic visual style and art direction. He has earned accolades including being named to the 2022 Young Guns list of creative professionals under 30, winning New Director of the Year at the shots Awards EMEA, and being shortlisted for the British Arrows Emerging Talent award and the Cannes Young Director Award.
Immersed in the world of parkour as a teenager, Angelo learned to direct by filming his peers on the fly and editing to maximize the excitement. He later studied at the National Film and Television School (NFTS) in London, where he further honed his craft. His work is recognizable by its keen visual comedy and extensive, often surreal, world-building. His recent work includes campaigns for Kit Kat, Thinnies, Burger King, Sheba, YoungCapital, Nike, Uber, Levi’s, and others. He also directed the music video “Hold On” for Not Waving, and the documentary short “Frehiwot” which was awarded at the Nespresso Talents competition at Cannes Lions. His “Missed You Stranger” campaign for Belgian radio station StuBru received a Vimeo Staff Pick for its mesmerizing illustrations of human connection.
Angelo is represented by Biscuit Filmworks in both the U.S. and U.K., as well as Spy Films in Canada, and Hamlet in Benelux, France, China, and Japan.
