Aaron Stoller
Aaron Stoller finds humor in even the most seemingly ordinary encounters. Born and raised in St. Louis, he studied TV and film at the University of Missouri, but his true education came from MTV’s on-air promo department, where he worked for ten years after college. Given unrestricted freedom to experiment, he created hundreds of spots for the channel, honing his skills and distinct style along the way.
From MTV, Aaron transitioned to the commercial world, leaving his mark with fresh perspectives and impeccable comedic timing for leading brands. He has established himself as a go-to director for spots featuring celebrity talent, having collaborated with everyone from Harvey Keitel to Martha Stewart, Michael Cera to Charles Barkley, and Eva Mendes to both Peyton and Eli Manning. His knack for delivering outstanding performances while putting the entire set at ease is unparalleled. Aaron’s recent projects include directing Martin Short and Steve Martin for Wells Fargo and Peter Stormare as “The Replacer” for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, along with campaigns for Wealthsimple and Southwest. He has an impressive Super Bowl résumé, including ads for Downy, Samuel Adams, Tide, the NFL, and more. Over the years, his contributions have been recognized with honors from Cannes Lions, The One Show, Clios, D&AD, AICP, and others.
Aaron lives in Los Angeles with his wife and four sons. When he’s not on set, he can be found either golfing or gambling (or, on a good day, doing both). He is represented for commercials in the US and UK by Biscuit Filmworks.
